Dont Let Your Stag Weekend Turn Out Like The Film - The Hangover!

Has the nature of comedy films changed over the years? The answer of course is yes! Cinema is not just the reflection of reality, but also shapes reality in turn, making the process dialectic.

One of the biggest hit comedies of last year is The Hangover, by Todd Philips. Starring Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianikis, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha, it is a story of four friends out on a stag weekend to Las Vegas, and the disaster that follows.

Although the premise of the film is not exactly brand new, the execution is flawless; turning what could have been crass and insufferable into a film that is sharp, naughty, wicked and very funny indeed.

The cast is relatively unknown but perfect for the film as they add a fresh twist to the screenplay, which by the way, is one of the cleverest pieces of work seen in recent times. The characters are gripping, and all the bizarre situations they seem to get into are sometimes ridiculous, sometimes offensive, but always well thought out, and incredibly funny!

Basically, everything about this crude, distasteful and obnoxious film seems to work when put together, which is really what it’s all about!
